What to Expect

Of all the relationships in your life, you relationship with food is the one that can improve how you feel every day.
Let me say up front that I don't believe in deprivation, and nothing is forbidden. During our time together, we'll create the best plan for you and your lifestyle. That means developing a partnership through which we explore and discover ways to make you healthy and happy.
My clients range from middle schoolers to retirees; from CEOs to moms-to-be, and even the occasional Rockette. Regardless of age, gender or profession, there's a common theme: they all need to find the best foods and practices for them.
Even if you're an expert calorie-counter—and it's okay if you're not!—you find yourself bombarded with conflicting messages about what is and isn't healthful. I'm here to sift through the heap for the tips that matter.
Our First Session
To develop goals, we'll sit down for 90 minutes to look at your medical history and what I like to call your "food personality." What are your favorite dishes? Are you a whiz in the kitchen or would you rather eat out? I love food, and love to share recipes, or tips on how to navigate the menus at your favorite restaurants. Your personalized plan can be as comprehensive as you like, and at its most basic will consist of meal plans, shopping lists and exercise options.
Your Takeaway
After just one consultation, you'll walk away with the completed meal plan and shopping list you need to get started immediately.
Adjusting to Your Tastes
In each 30-minute follow-up session, we'll discuss what's working and what's not, and tweak your plan. Just as your clothes might soon need some tailoring, we’ll help your program fit better. The ultimate goal is to build confidence by building knowledge so that you can stand on your own, though my door will always be open for check-ins.
Your Food Personality
The foods you love and hate, the ones that keep you satisfied and the ones that make you want more—these define your food personality. Do you have a set dinnertime? Or are you always on the go? Do you have trouble finding things you like at the buffet? Or are their times of day when you could eat pretty much anything? As I get to know you, you’ll get to know yourself, and find better ways to order from the lunch place near your office, the hotel on your business trip and the restaurant where you have a standing date with friends. Knowing your food personality makes it easy to adapt to the unexpected, and will keep you from getting bored.
My Pledge to You
The time we spend together will be honest and open. Everything we discuss will be confidential. I look forward to assisting you on your journey to a healthier and more confident lifestyle.
